When I first started getting into craft beer it was hard to make sense of all the different breweries and styles. It’s overwhelming to walk into a bar or restaurant and look at a list of 60+ beers and pick one without being a little worried about what you’re going to be getting, especially when you’re used to the same 10 beers you find on tap at every bar in America. But don’t worry; if this is you then you’re not alone. I’ve been there and so has everyone else who loves good beer. The truth of the matter is you’re never going to know everything about every beer you drink, or even about every style. (Luckily) There is enough experimentation going on in the US beer scene to keep things ever changing. However, in the end, there are a few things to help hone your palate and learn what you like to help broaden your beer horizons.

Many people were already lined up at the door. WCOS 97.5 was there spinning tunes and Karaoke.

The Concert began with the McClymonts, an all girl country group out of Australia. The group was composed of three beautiful sisters, Sam, Brooke, and Mollie. They all had great singing voices along with great bodies. They have a new album out “Chaos and Bright Lights”. They started with the song “You were right” which was followed up with the song “Delta Dawn”. They have been very popular in Australia for a few years and have joined Jason Aldean’s “Wide Open Tour” to break into the USA market.

The Colonial Life Area was 9,000 strong with crowd singing, dancing and screaming. The show opened with Leanne Womack, the princess of country music, nominated for the 2010 Inspirational Country Music Award,  singing such favorites as “Last Call”, and “I hope you dance”. She said “I like to keep country, country with a fiddle and a steel guitar”.
Reba McEntire, the queen of country music, and television sitcom star, entered the stage with such energy, power and grace that she is famous for. With 20 years in the music business she performed many old favorites along with new favorites. There was lots of crowd participation and appreciation for her music. I can remember countless occasions watching my guy friends fret about what to wear: because the worst thing that could ever happen to you is you get excited about going and get denied at the door because you’re not wearing black shoes. Everyone knows this feeling, even women. It’s the five second stare they take at your license, even though you’ve been over the age of 21 for longer then you want to mention.
